About This Site

This site is dedicated to CCD astrophotography using amateur equipment.

I've been trying my hand at CCD astrophotography for over 15  years. I started out with the SBIG ST-237 color camera,  moved on to the SX HX916, and recently, upgraded to the SBIG ST-10XME. For image processing, I use some software tools I developed myself in combination with Adobe Photoshop. Most of my observing and imaging is done from my back yard. There's moderate  light pollution from the neighbors and the streetlights. Significant sky glow to the north-east from NY City about 30 miles away. And of course, the weather never cooperates with my schedule (hey, who said this was easy?)
